Dr Rebecca Ramsden

Dr Rebecca Ramsden graduated from the University of Bath with an MBiol degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology. She then completed a PhD in Molecular Neuroscience at the University of Bristol, for which she investigated glutamate receptor trafficking in hippocampal neurons exposed to ischemia. She perfected a number of techniques during her PhD, including electrophysiology, fluorescence microscopy, cell culture, and western blotting, and her research was published in the Journal of Biological Chemistry. She then worked for 5 years in a science communication role at the Society for Endocrinology in Bristol, where she wrote and edited press releases and patient information for their website. Her areas of expertise include neuroscience, endocrinology, cell biology, microbiology, and molecular medicine. Rebecca is now a freelance editor, focusing mainly on editing manuscripts by authors whose first language is not English, and is an Associate of the Society for Editors and Proofreaders.
