Sangeeta Krishnan completed her MSc degree from the University of Mumbai, Maharashtra, where she conducted research into bacterial pectinase. Thereafter, she worked in a small team that reviewed data for oncology clinical trials. She has been involved in the clinical trials of several anticancer drugs, notably SUTENT (sutinib malate). During this time, she gained considerable experience in the area of clinical trials. She started editing full-time in 2007, and received her editing certification (Editor in the Life Sciences) from the Board of Editors in the Life Sciences (www.bels.org) in 2009. She has accumulated years of experience in editing journal articles, PhD theses, and web content. She also has considerable experience in editing papers by authors whose first language is not English. Her areas of expertise include oncology, cell biology, clinical trials, reproductive biology, genetics, microbiology, environmental sciences, molecular biology, and biotechnology.
