Dr Lois Bradnam

Dr Lois Bradnam obtained her first-class honours degree in chemistry with medicinal chemistry from the University of Southampton and a PhD in chemical biology from the University of Edinburgh, where she studied micro- and nanoscale polymeric drug delivery approaches in vitro and in vivo, as well as gene silencing in stem cells. After her PhD, Lois went on to work as a Journal Development Editor at BioMed Central before joining the Royal Society of Chemistry as a Publishing Editor. She then took up the role of Senior Production Controller for Books at the Royal Society of Chemistry, which involves overseeing the entire publication process for books published within the Royal Society of Chemistry portfolio. Her areas of expertise include medicinal chemistry, chemical biology, flow cytometry, in vitro and in vivo pharmaceutical studies, clinical studies and herbal medicine. Lois is a qualified Naturopath and Medical Herbalist and a Member of the Association of Master Herbalists. She is also an Associate of the Society for Editors and Proofreaders.
